Terms of Service
Last updated: July 23, 2026
The rules for using Tavita, written to actually be read.
Acceptance of these terms
These terms are an agreement between you and Tavita OPC, the company that makes Tavita. By downloading, installing, or using Tavita, you agree to these Terms of Service and to our Privacy Policy. If you don't agree, please don't use the app.
The service
Tavita is a nutrition and calorie tracker that also helps you organize the timing of supplements and medicines you already take, using published absorption and interaction information. It is an organizational tool, not a healthcare provider.
Tavita is not a medical device and does not provide medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment.
- We never recommend new supplements or medications.
- We never suggest changing a dose.
- We only help organize the timing of products you already take, using published absorption and interaction information.
- If your doctor or pharmacist gave you specific timing instructions, always follow them — their guidance overrides anything in this app.
Talk to your doctor or pharmacist before starting, stopping, or changing any supplement or medication.
AI features
Tavita uses AI (Anthropic's Claude) to read meal photos and supplement or medicine labels, and to help reason about your schedule. AI output is an estimate, not a certainty:
- Nutrition estimates from a meal photo are approximations — actual values can differ from what's served.
- AI photo scanning is subject to fair use. Past roughly 7 meal scans a day on average (210 in a calendar month), further scans that month are processed with a lighter AI model — scanning is never blocked, and the app tells you when this is in effect.
- Always double-check a scanned supplement or medicine label against the physical packaging, especially for dosage.
- Interaction information is informational only, sourced from published interaction databases (see our data sources). It is not exhaustive and is not a substitute for advice from a pharmacist or doctor who knows your full medical history.
Subscriptions & billing
Tavita Pro is offered as an auto-renewing subscription with two plans:
- Monthly — $12.99, billed immediately, renews every month.
- Annual — $59.99 per year (launch price), with a 3-day free trial. If you don't cancel before the trial ends, it converts automatically into a paid annual subscription.
Subscriptions are billed by the Apple App Store or Google Play, depending on where you downloaded Tavita — not by us. To cancel, use your store's subscription settings, at least 24 hours before your renewal date, or the next period will be charged. If we change subscription pricing, we'll notify you in advance as required by the relevant app store's policies.
Refunds are issued by Apple or Google, not directly by Tavita — see our Refund Policy for exactly how to request one.
Creator & affiliate codes
Some creators offer discount codes for Tavita Pro. Applying one gives you the discounted price on eligible plans and credits that creator for the referral. Full program terms for creators and affiliates are available at partners.tavita.app/terms.
Acceptable use
If you use Tavita's optional community features — or send us feedback like feature suggestions or bug reports — please:
- Be respectful — no harassment, hate speech, or spam in challenges, the activity feed, or anything you submit to us.
- Don't submit unlawful, abusive, or deliberately objectionable content.
- Don't give other users medical advice, dosage recommendations, or diagnoses. Tavita is for organizing your own routine, and community spaces should stay that way.
- Don't attempt to scrape, reverse-engineer, decompile, or misuse the app or its databases beyond normal use.
- Don't impersonate another person or misrepresent your affiliation with Tavita.
Feature suggestions and bug reports go to a private queue our team reads; we may act on them, including building on your idea, without any obligation or payment to you. We may remove content or suspend access for accounts that violate these rules.
Intellectual property
Tavita, its design, illustrations, and underlying software are owned by Tavita OPC and protected by applicable intellectual property laws. Using the app doesn't give you any ownership over it — just a personal, non-transferable license to use it according to these terms.
Disclaimer of warranties & limitation of liability
Tavita is provided "as is," without warranties of any kind, to the fullest extent permitted by law. We don't guarantee that nutrition estimates, interaction data, or scheduling suggestions are complete, accurate, or error-free — they're organizational aids drawn from published, third-party sources, not personalized medical judgment.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Tavita OPC is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the app. Nothing in these terms limits any right or protection that cannot be limited or excluded under the law of your jurisdiction.
Termination
You can stop using Tavita at any time by deleting the app. We may suspend or terminate access to community or account-based features for violations of these terms. Your on-device data isn't affected by anything we do on our end — it's yours, on your device.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms as Tavita evolves. If we do, we'll update the "last updated" date above, and for material changes, we'll do our best to flag it inside the app.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Philippines, where Tavita OPC is registered, without regard to conflict-of-law principles, except where local consumer-protection law gives you additional rights that these terms cannot override.
