Account & Data Deletion

Last updated: July 23, 2026

Tavita has no login accounts, so there's no single 'account' to delete — but here's exactly what data exists and how to remove it, in the app or by email.

What this page covers

Tavita doesn't use accounts or logins. Your health data — profile, meals, supplements, logs, photos — is stored on your device, in a local database. Tavita keeps no ongoing server-side copy of it, so there's nothing for us to delete on our end. (If you've enabled encrypted backups, those files live in your own iCloud or Google Drive account, where only you can delete them; a phone-to-phone transfer briefly relays an encrypted copy we cannot read, which is deleted automatically when the transfer completes or expires.)

If you've turned on Tavita's optional community features (friends, challenges, leaderboards, the activity feed, referrals), a separate, smaller set of data is stored on Tavita's servers, keyed to an anonymous ID rather than any personal account: the username you chose, your friend connections, activity-feed posts, challenge and leaderboard entries, referral codes, and, if you allowed notifications, a push notification token. This page explains how to delete that data, either from inside the app or by emailing us.

How to delete in the app

Tavita gives you two levels of deletion, depending on what you want gone:

  • Delete just your community account— go to the Community tab → your profile → "Delete community account." This removes your username, friend connections, activity-feed posts, challenge and leaderboard entries, referral codes, feature votes and suggestions, any bug reports you sent, and push token from our servers. Your local health data (meals, supplements, logs, photos) is untouched and stays on your device.
  • Delete an entire profile — go to the profile switcher → delete profile. This removes everything for that profile: all local health data on your device, and, if that profile had community features turned on, its server-side community data as well.

How to request deletion without the app

Email us: support@tavita.app

Include your community username, and we'll delete your server-side data within 30 days.

If you no longer have Tavita installed — or never turned on community features but still want to confirm there's nothing to delete — email support@tavita.appwith the username you used in the app. We'll delete your community data (username, friend connections, activity-feed posts, challenge and leaderboard entries, referral codes, feature votes and suggestions, bug reports, and push token) from our servers within 30 days and confirm once it's done.

Two categories of data are kept even after this: purchase records (including affiliate attribution) are retained for accounting and legal compliance, and moderation records — reports you filed or that were filed against you, and any blocks — are retained for community safety. Separately, IP addresses logged for anti-abuse rate limiting on community push sends age out on their own within 30 days regardless. See our Privacy Policy for the full retention picture.

What deleting the app itself does

Uninstalling Tavita removes all of your on-device health data for good — Tavita holds no server-side copy to clean up. It does not, however, remove server-side community data described above, or any encrypted backups you've saved to your own iCloud or Google Drive (delete those from your cloud storage directly). Community data is only removed through the in-app deletion options or by emailing us, as described on this page.
